Hitman Louie is a 3-piece band from Nashville, TN, with roots in Heavy Alternative, early Hardcore and the bluesier end of the Doom spectrum, synthesized into a fresh, new sound with their own unique point of view.
Hailing from wild, wonderful West Virginia, singer/guitarist Weston Wellman's tuneful howl is equal parts Blues-by-way-of-Sabbath and "Cough Cool"-era Glenn Danzig, and once in awhile he steps back from the mic with his Telecaster and sets fire to some blazing leads. Drummer Nick Slack will be familiar to fans of local heavyweights like The Lees Of Memory, Hurts To Laugh and SLACK, propelling the music forward with his hard-hitting, no-frills approach. Many of the most interesting Nashville acts have a common denominator in producer/engineer Mike Purcell: he turns up here on the other side of the glass as a second guitarist, pulling double-duty on bass behind his compositions and vice-versa.
Their inaugural 4-song EP is a sign of things to come, pointing towards a very loud and rocking future.

"We booked this session for an entirely different reason, but when Tom Petty passed away, we felt like we had to pay tribute... and we both picked the same song. It was meant to be.
None of us are promised tomorrow; all we can do is make the best of the time we have on Earth, and try to make a dent.
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers made a big dent."
